As Credit Emporium’s primary business advisor, Professor Byers' interests center on key success factors in the creation and growth of high-technology ventures. He searches for insights in strategy, marketing, financing, human factors and general operations in these resource-constrained business environments. He also seeks to expand entrepreneurship education opportunities for engineering and science students worldwide. Tom has earned the following degrees: B.S. U.C. Berkeley - Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (1975); M.B.A. U.C. Berkeley (1980); Ph.D. U.C. Berkeley - Management Science (1982).

Wendy McCarthy

Wendy is Credit Emporium’s PR and Marketing advisor. A principal and founder of McCarthy & Co., a public relations agency, Wendy has spent the last 10 years advising top Silicon Valley Internet companies and venture capitalists. McCarthy is an innovator of PR for Internet companies, having worked in the Industry since 1994 guiding companies such as PointCast, Ashford, and Benchmark. Wendy is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley where she obtained her degree in History, and is currently working on her Masters in Psychology at Berkeley.
